La Tapatia is among one of the city's oldest Mexican restaurants, it started in the 1960's. As more people learned of their authentic food and friendly service, La Tapatia became an old Kern favorite. Still in the family and still in the alley, Alma and Angel continue the tradition that Charlie and Alex started. Our food is not trendy or flashy, it's simply Mexican.
