For music lovers, the California Philharmonic Orchestra performs at the Ambassador Auditorium from November through April, and the Cal Phil Music Martinis & the Maestro at the Green Hotel from January through May.
Other Pasadena attractions include architectural tours, art walking tours around the city, the Carnegie Observatories, and Pasadena museums. Pasadena's convenient location also provides easy access to Southern California's other famous attractions, which include Disneyland, Hollywood, Knott's berry farm, the Los Angeles zoo, and Santa Monica beach, the closest beach to Pasadena.

Pasadena, which means "of the valley," is the sixth largest city in Los Angeles County, California, and the main cultural center of the San Gabriel Valley. Pasadena is part of the original Spanish land grant Rancho del Rincon de San Pascual. The Rancho comprised the lands of the present communities of Pasadena, Altadena, and South Pasadena. The city was incorporated in 1886.
